Non-Communicable Diseases

Worldwide, diabetes, hypertension, cancer, and other noncommunicable diseases rank as the primary causes of death and disability. Addressing these conditions involves tackling lifestyle factors, healthcare accessibility, and socioeconomic factors that influence the occurrence and severity of diseases. One Health Consortium researchers are advancing fiscal health policies and implementing an innovative One Health and demographic health surveillance system. These efforts equip policymakers with the necessary tools to make informed choices regarding the prevention, detection, and treatment of non-communicable diseases.
