About us

The initiative began with concerned professionals gathering at a panel discussion, alarmed by Somalia's absence in the international One Health Consortium dialogue concerning animal, human, plant, and environmental health. The New Partnership for Universities in Somalia convened a workshop to foster dialogue among African civil society organizations, aiming to collaborate effectively in shaping discussions post-2024 on the One Health Consortium. This journey marked the formation of the Somalia Universities and Civil Societies, aiming to unify Somalia's civil society voice.

Vision

The One Health Consortium aims to protect everyone by integrating, creating strategic networks of partnerships, and connecting environmental health, animal health, plant health, and ecosystem health to mitigate threats and promote sustainable development, equity, and ecosystem health for all.
